  • Proposal to form subcommittee or project teams
  • Insufficient time to go over detail and will carry out at the next meeting; however, every BOD is aware of the need for improvement and changes.

  • 501(c)3 application update
  • State filling process is done and BYA will have a nonprofit organization status soon. However, the Federal filing will cost fees. It is also important to have it done before the end of the year. That is why Ma Thin Wit Yee urged all BODs to review Bylaws effectively before the final version is submitted to the Federal.

  • Apple Matching Gift Program
  • Thanks to Ma Zargy Myint Aung for willingness to work on to fundraise matching fund from Apple. We, BYAers are very pleased that you are bringing this opportunity to fund raise for B(M)CCFR. Since B(M)CCFR is just a committee to generate funding activities and would not be able to collect the money without having associate with nonprofit organization. That’s why BYA will be cosponsoring B(M)CCFR and needs involved in an active role when BYA nonprofit status is accomplished. Ma Zargy Myint Aung also believes that with the help of start up $20,000.00 dollars fundraising as well as foreseeable future from the Federal funding, it is feasible that we could have our community center for people from Burma here in the Bay Area in two years.
